Debating Professional Development
Kick-start your debating year with 5 weeks of live-streamed professional development!
We’re seeking 15 keen debating teachers to trial our super low-cost, high-impact debating coaching professional development.
Aimed at coaches of primary school/early high school teams, and held over 30-minutes after school time, teachers will have the opportunity to watch a live topic breakdown each week, get coaching tips and strategies for the new year and then engage with our presenters for a Q&A session afterwards.

About Your Presenter
James Smith
James is the one of the most experienced school debating, public speaking and critical thinking educators in Australia and has run programs and workshops in these skills for the last 17 years. He has served as the Chief Adjudicator for the Greater Public Schools Debating Competition, the Schools Debating Network, and as a NSW reps selector. James has adjudicated multiple state and national finals for debating and public speaking. James has coached winning teams in every division of the PDC.

When:
Mondays 3:30-4:00pm for 5 weeks starting 4 May 2026, or viewed via recordings in your own time.
Where:
Sessions are held over Zoom, with recordings available via login on our website.
