New Classes for ThinkTank Southern Tablelands
We are thrilled to announce that thanks to generous new funding from the Braidwood and Bungendore Community Bank, the ThinkTank Southern Tablelands Program has expanded significantly—allowing us to open two new classes and extend this transformative learning experience to even more students across the region.
At Consensus, our mission is to give regional students access to the same high-level enrichment opportunities often available to their urban peers. ThinkTank, our free, online after-school club, is designed to develop students’ critical thinking, communication, and ethical reasoning skills through lively discussions, real-world case studies, and collaborative problem-solving.
With this latest support from the Bank, we’re now reaching over sixty students from across the Southern Tablelands—including Crookwell, Braidwood, Bungendore, Queanbeyan, Jerrabomberra, Gundaroo, and surrounding rural areas. The funding makes it possible for every student to participate at no cost to families, removing barriers to access and ensuring that enthusiasm and curiosity are the only requirements for entry.
The addition of two new classes has been a game-changer. It means we can accommodate growing demand from schools and families across the region—particularly from schools like Crookwell High, which is encouraging all of its high-potential and gifted students to get involved.
We are proud to run the Southern Tablelands program, and we’re deeply grateful to the Braidwood and Bungendore Community Bank Board for recognising the value of this work. Their support is helping us build a community of capable, thoughtful, and empathetic young thinkers.
Thank you to all the schools, families, and supporters who continue to help us make ThinkTank such a success.
