New Funding to Support Regional Kids

On 2 March, the Consensus Education foundation was awarded a grant by the Office for Regional Youth to run an exciting extension of our ThinkTank program for critical thinking and communication skills for high potential and enthusiastic students. Covering the four Local Government Areas in the South-East of the state. Already, the funding has seen us taking our expert tutors out into the regions to deliver engaging, fun and challenging learning. Running 8 workshops across the region, we worked with over 300 students from 27 schools, and in Term 3 are running an online after-school course that builds on and extends these in-person events.

We’re delighted that the vision of the federal and NSW governments in backing this program will make access to these fundamental skills free for young people who often miss out on such opportunities because they live in more remote parts of the state.

This Children and Young People Wellbeing Initiative project is jointly funded by the Commonwealth and the New South Wales Government under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements.
