School Workshops

Critical thinking, debating or public speaking workshops for your school

Our workshops are designed to provide engaging, enjoyable and challenging experiences for students of all ages interested in critical thinking, debating, and public speaking.

They range from providing great entry points for schools looking to begin their journey into the world of effective critical thinking and communication, through to enabling the development of advanced skills in these key areas of learning. All workshops are offered under a fee-for-service model, or through sponsorship for disadvantaged or regional schools.

Our workshops have successfully targeted and improved the critical thinking and communication skills of students in the South-East of NSW, in Sydney, and in the Hunter. Our students regularly tell us of their increased comfort, enjoyment and success in thinking and communicating, and of their improved ability with school assessment tasks. Our expertise in debating and public speaking training has seen many students progress to regional and state representation, including finals appearances and success.

Our workshop opportunities aren’t only for students — we also provide professional learning. These workshops are offered in critical thinking, public speaking and debating to develop best-practice knowledge and expertise in your staff.

Workshop Testimonials

In-person Workshops

Our in-person workshops offer intensive sessions adapted to target the specific needs of each school. They are designed to deliver explicit content as well as speaking and thinking games to fully engage students in their learning. By making effective use of in-person collaboration, they focus on developing students’ overall creative and critical thinking, addressing their understanding of aspects of the curriculum, and equipping them to participate successfully in Department of Education competitions for debating and public speaking.

Online Workshops

Our online workshops are particularly well-adapted to preparing students for debating and public speaking. We teach these practical applications for thinking and speaking skills through a critical thinking lens, where logic and empathetic perceptiveness are intrinsically linked. This training can be run either as shorter sessions charged at an hourly rate or under the longer format typical of our in-person workshops. Aware of the pressures on school timetables, we’ve designed our online workshops to be run either during school hours or after school, and can include interaction with students from other schools.
